India vs Australia World T 20 Match Online Scores & Preview

India will start its Super 8 campaign with the match against Australia tonight. Both teams will lock horns and eye for an outright victory to keep their semifinal hopes alive.

On paper, India is considered stronger and better than Australia in T20 cricket. But cricket is a game of uncertainty and T20 is completely unpredictable.

While India won the first edition of ICC Twenty20 World Cup in South Africa, it failed to reach the semifinals in the second edition in England.

MS Dhoni’s men in blue are looking more and more like the side we saw trailblaze their way to the title in 2007. The confidence is there, they are playing like a team and the fearless attitude appears to be back. The question is can it last in the face of Australia’s yellow army?

The change of venue could prove to be the biggest hurdle in India’s path to the semifinals. So far, they have played both their matches on the stodgy pitch at the Providence Stadium, Guyana – a slow track which provides little purchase to the quick bowlers. The Kensington Oval in Barbados, however, is an all together different proposition. It’s a pace friendly deck which will give the fast bowlers plenty of assistance and bounce. India’s superstar batting lineup has many strengths but tackling short pitched bowling on a bouncy track is certainly not one of them and this is bound to be their biggest worry when they take the field against Australia’s world class pace attack.

The batsmen, though, will still be quietly confident. Suresh Raina, ofcourse, will be looking to continue his explosive form from the last match where he pummelled the South Africans for 101 off just 60 balls. Yuvraj Singh, too, looked like he was getting back into some sort of rhythm in that match with two huge sixes. And with Gautam Gambhir back from injury, the top order looks solid.

MS Dhoni might be a bit concerned about the bowling department. The pacers have had an ordinary tournament so far. Ashish Nehra has looked the pick of the fast bowlers and his captain is likely to turn to him for the breakthrough against Australia. India’s main pace weapon Zaheer Khan misfired against Afghanistan and sat out the match against the Proteas but he is a big match player and could prove the key on Friday. Neither Bhajji nor Piyush Chawla have had much luck in the tournament so far although they will be encouraged by the bounce and turn Bangladesh’s spinners were able to exploit on the same pitch against the Aussies.
On the other hand, Australia never reached the semifinals of T20 World Cup. It crashed out in Super 8 in the first edition. The Aussies could not even qualify for the Super 8 in the second edition.

India received a jolt by losing pacer Praveen Kumar ahead of their Super 8 matches. The team will rely on Suresh Raina, Murali Vijay, Gautam Gambhir, Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni on batting.

It’s a Wonderful Afterlife Online Free Movie ReVieW & Poster

It’s a Wonderful Afterlife Movie Online – Filmmaker Chadha is back with another uneven comedy, although unlike Bride & Prejudice, this isn’t actually a Bollywood variation on the Frank Capra classic: it’s a London farce about arranged marriage with a ghostly twist

The widowed Mrs Sethi (Azmi) is worried that her slightly overweight daughter Roopi (Notay) will never find a husband. Every match she arranges turns Roopi down, which leads Mrs Sethi to react murderously. But now the ghosts (Khan, Bkaskar, Ross and Varrez) of her victims are offering to help in order to improve their chances of reincarnation. Fortunately, Roopi’s childhood friend Murthy (Ramamurthy) is back in town and hugely eligible. Unfortunately, he’s a detective looking for the killer.

The film takes the general tone of a TV comedy sketch, complete with cheesy make-up and effects and eye-rolling performances. Some of this is funny, although the script swings wildly between slapstick and teary emotion, so we never quite settle on a reaction to it. Adding to the craziness is Roopi’s best friend Linda (Hawkins), back in town with a sudden fiance (Mistry) after a mind-opening stint in an ashram. Hawkins adds a layer of professionalism to the comedy, and she also gets the best set piece, a silly pastiche of the Carrie prom scene.

The film tackles a variety of social issues such as peer pressure from a community perspective, the concept of arranged marriages in Britain, and, most importantly, karma. The theory of karma surrounds deeds done in a past life and how these actions determine the negatives and positives of a new life after reincarnation. The film highlights the mistakes of the spirits in their past lives and their inability to move on until the wrongs are put right. The comical stance taken by the spirits is, overall, a true delight to watch.

The comedy aspect of the film is, in many places, spot-on. Sanjeev Bhaskar’s representation of the Curry Man (an actor best known for British comedies Goodness Gracious Me! and The Kumars at No.42) shows impeccable comic timing throughout the movie and completely steals the show. The comic dialogues are fresh and some scenes are sure to have the audiences in fits of laughter. On the flip side, there are also scenes in the film that make a credible effort to be funny but are not as successful. Whether this is because of the extraordinarily unbelievable characters or simply that the scenes don’t strike a chord, it is debatable.

And the fact that her daughter’s India-returned best friend (Sally Hawkins) has managed to find a desi beau, despite being a firangi, only adds to her woes. Of course, Hawkin’s marriage — to Jimmi Mistry — is merely an extension of her touristy affair with India, but mum can’t see that. Also, she’s more bothered about the young and handsome cop (Senthil Ramamurthy) who has begun to make frequent visits to their house. Could he be the answer to her prayers for her daughter? Don’t fat girls deserve a chance too? Must a moustached upper lip matter more than a woman’s good-natured heart?

Nice questions, all these, but not so nattily answered. It’s a Wonderful Afterlife could have…would have…should have…but all it does is end up as average fare: Indian curry yes, yet minus the tangy flavour. Also, the actors don’t really get to grow on you, which is quite sad, since Shabana Azmi might just have set the screen on fire, if she knew what her brief was: to make us laugh or cry! Goldy shows promise and Senthil? Well, Senthil just looks good.

The Badmaash Company Music Review

Yashraj’s latest offering, as the title suggests, is about fun, risk and deceit. And as the movie’s music is out, including some promos, the feel one gets is that it is Bunty Aur Babli meets Dhoom! Both these movies had dynamic musical scores; and one can expect the same from ‘Badmaash Company’, if not less.

Churning out the music is the most-favoured and favourite of all, the one and only Pritam. And, as it can be recalled, Pritam has given music for most of Shahid Kapoor’s films, and all were hits. Naturally, Pritam has emerged as Yashraj’s favourite too.

Being deft at stirring us with his usual zippy songs, the Bong musician sets the Badmaash mood with the very first track Ayaashi. The song peps up the mood with its rhythmic beats and high-on-energy rendition. Kay Kay’s subtle vocals stand apart in the otherwise loud song. Youngsters will love this track. Perfect to hear on full volume; so is the remix version.

Mohit Chauhan renders Jingle Jingle track which is a song full of desires. A thematic number, it lives up to the expectation of a good situational song. And it will have more impact when one sees it on big screen.

With vigorous dhols starts Chaska. The masti track is best in the album and is sung by the vivacious and versatile Krishna. And its infectious tune and pace makes for an unforgettable hearing. It won’t take long for music buffs to get chaska of this song. And expect the Chaska remix to floor you like the original.
