Actor Jayasuriya’s upcoming movie “Uthara Swayamvaram”, directed by Remakanth Sanju is promised to be a hilarious movie which will be on screens in this Diwali. Jayasuriya has played the lead role as Prakash and Roma played the lady lead role as Uthara. Other important roles in the film are played by Lalu Alex, Nedumudi Venu, Balachandra Menon, Sooraj Venjaramoodu, Harisree Asokan, Salim Kumar, Indrans, Bijukuttan, Sona Nair, Lakshmipriya and Sukumari. The film comes from the production house ‘Pavithram Creations’, produced by Santhosh Pavithram, music composed by M. Jayachandran.
Prakash is an unemployed degree holder who is not interested in jobs but interested in social works and also engaged in the village library activities. So he fails his father’s wish of becoming an officer. Uthara is the daughter of a rich jewel owner in the same village. One day Prakash happens to save Uthara from drowning into a well and from that moment Prakash started loving her and decides to make her as his life partner. Situations goes bad to Prakash when Uthara’s marriage is been fixed with the son of a rich man. Following events that happens in his venture of getting her forms the crux of the film.
After the hit movies like ‘Shakespeare MA Malayalam’, ‘Chocolate’ and ‘Minnaminnikkoottam’, Young actor Jayasuriya and Roma are teaming together once again for the movie ‘Uthara Swayamvaram’. Widely opined as the lucky pair of Mollywood, they will be once again romancing on the screen for this movie directed by debutante Remakanth Sarju.
‘Uthara Swayamvaram’ will have Jayasuriya as Prakashan, a laid back guy, who is always after his mate from childhood Uthara (Roma).The only daughter of Ponnuveettil Mahdevan (Lalu Alex), Uthara meant a lot to her father who was living his life only for her, after his wife’s untimely death.
Prakashan has never told Uthara about his intense love for her. But being good mates from childhood, he always supposed that she also loved him. Once he even rescue her from a well into which she had fallen. Thereafter everyone in the village often made him remember that she is alive only because of him. He often goes as her driver just to get a glimpse of her. Prakashan’s father Sreedhara Kurup, a grocer, was much worried about his son’s infatuation towards Uthara and about his attitude problems where he was taking every other things in life in the silliest manner.
The problems start in Prakashan’s life following the engagement of Uthara to a guy from an affluent family. Prakashan couldn’t believe this and finds alternatives to somehow avoid the marriage from taking place. With elements of surprises and plenty of twists and turns in store, the movie will be a humorous affair that will keep you engaged, all through.
Also in the cast are Balachandra Menon, Indrans, Lalu Alex, Salimkumar, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Kiranraj, Sarayu, Shobha Mohan, Janardhanan and Niyas. Scripted by J Pallassery in the story of the director, the movie has already completed its shoot at locales in Ottappalam and Ooty.
Cinematographed by Saalo George, the movie is edited by P C Mohanan. The music department of ‘Uthara Swayamvaram’ is handled by M Jayachandran and Gireesh Puthenchery. Produced by Santhosh Pavithram in the banner of Pavithram films, the movie will get into theatres in a month.
